Introducing Novocycle

Novo Surgical is proud to announce Novocycle, an innovative program that allows healthcare facilities to receive value for recycling unwanted surgical instrument inventories. This industry-first, environment-friendly recycling program solves a major problem in healthcare facilities, most of which have hundreds or even thousands of unwanted instruments – wrong patterns, damaged stock or simply unneeded. Over the years, this unwanted steel can pile up and become burdensome. Novo sales representatives regularly meet with customers in sterile processing departments across the country, most of which face the same issue with no beneficial resolution. Instruments either sit idle in storage areas, taking up much needed space, or worse, are thrown away. This neither helps the hospital achieve value, nor protects the environment.

Novocycle was born out of a desire to offer a better alternative and designed in order to relieve central sterile supply personnel of the frustration of stocking or disposing of unwanted instruments. The program offers facilities the dual benefits of environment-friendly recycling of unwanted instruments and an exclusive credit on brand new product from Novo Surgical’s comprehensive line of premium surgical instrumentation.

Sound good? Here's how it works:

1. Collect unwanted instruments from any brand (yes, we'll let you recycle instruments that aren't ours!)

2. Ship the instruments to our recycling facility.

3. Receive up to $50 per pound of instruments recycled.

4. Use credit toward purchases of new instruments from Novo.

5. Feel good about doing your part to help the planet!

Novo Surgical partners with United Scrap, a wonderful woman-owned business in our hometown of Chicago for this innovative program. United Scrap recycles the 300 and 400 series surgical steel our customers return so that it can be used for other applications that require high-quality steel.

Novocycle is a win-win for the environment and your budget. Review the form and speak with your local Novo representative for more information.
